Rev. Dr. Peter Mason
Senior Pastor
pastorpeter@faithcrossroads.org
Family: My wife, Rhonda, and I were high school sweethearts. Her dad came to be the pastor of my home church when we were sophomores in high school. I noted that he was a good preacher and his daughter was both intelligent and beautiful! Rhonda went on to Roberts Wesleyan College and earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. We married after college while I was attending seminary. Rhonda is a school nurse at Loudonville Christian School . We both enjoy walking our dog Willie. |

We have two adult children, Ron and Amy, who are actively serving the Lord in their local churches. Ron is married to Becca and lives in Jewett City, Connecticut where he works in marketing and information technology for ServiceMaster by Mason. Becca is a center director and teacher with the Sylvan Learning Center in Groton Connecticut. Amy is married to Chad Gough and lives in Bensalem, Philadelphia.
How long have you been at Faith? I first served as an Interim Pastor beginning in November, 2003 and then was called as the Senior Pastor, August 1, 2004.
Where did you come from? I was born in Hartford, Connecticut and was raised in Bloomfield where I attended Wintonbury Baptist Church. I studied at Wheaton College where I earned a B.A. in philosophy and psychology, and an M.A. in New Testament Greek. I then attended Dallas Theological Seminary earning a Th. M. and Denver Seminary where I studied leadership development through mentoring and earned a Doctor of Ministries. My ministry background has included three pastorates and serving as the district minister for the Conservative Baptists.
Hobbies: I enjoy a variety of sports (skiing, swimming, tennis, biking), reading about current events, playing the trumpet, and walking my dog, Willie. I teach philosophy at Davis College and enjoy ethics and apologetics. |
