Family: I met Julianne, my wife, at WVU. She followed this handsome guy to Chicago. Actually she went to Moody the year after I did while I started Seminary. We were married in 1987 on a boiling hot day in a un-air conditioned church. We headed back to seminary for 3 years where Julianne worked as a computer programmer and I went to school and drove school buses. Zack and Jess came along here in New York and are joyfully entering their teen years. |

Favorite Verse: Right now I would have to say that my favorite verses come out of Ephesians chapter one. It is a great passage repeating several times the phrase " to the praise of his glory" or "to the praise of his glorious grace". Verses 3 through 6 are the part I really like where it says "He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…" and "In love He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ…" I am blown away that God did that for me.
What's your personal background? I was born in Waterbury, Connecticut but lived mostly in Northeast Ohio. I had a blast in high school playing soccer, running track and singing in groups and musicals. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management from West Virginia University. I then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for one year before heading to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School outside Chicago for Seminary. I came here to Faith right out of Seminary.
Hobbies: I enjoy dabbling in furniture refinishing, building things and home repair. I don't have much choice about the home repair. I love to enjoy God's creation all around us. As a family, we enjoy camping in our 1973 small but air conditioned trailer. We've taken it through at least 23 states. |
