Family: I grew up in a Christian home and have two brothers and a twin sister.

How long have you been at Faith? My family has attended Faith Baptist for the past 15 years.  However, for about 5 years I attended a different church as I struggled with faith and what it meant to be a Christian.  I came back to Faith Baptist when my Mother challenged me to listen to the preaching and to get involved in some ministries to see how the church had changed since before I had left.  I took the challenge and was amazed to see that the youth program had exploded and that the church was behind the new pastor, and that the congregation was excited about the direction in which they where headed.
What's your personal background? I came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ when I was 9 years old. My family had moved from Detroit Michigan, to Louisville Kentucky, to Indianapolis Indiana, and finally Clifton Park New York all during the first 8 years of my life. Having lost friends each of those moves it seemed as if I could never have a constant friend and would always be stuck as the new kid who was made fun of and rejected, and with uncertainty of my Dads job it was possible that I would be moving the rest of my life. When my family finally came to New York my parents initially sent me to Schenectady Christian Schools to finish the First grade. It was odd having an alter call at the end of the day in every class and having the teachers talk openly about God. One day after going to school I was confronted with the opportunity to meet a friend who would never leave me even if I moved, I was skeptical and went home on the bus to ask my mom more questions. When I got home I asked questions and continued to ask them until she had laid out how it all worked.  From how Christ comes along side you in hard times and lifts you up, to when you call on his name, and he restores and comfort you.  That's when I decided to accept Jesus as my friend and savior. I was baptized about three years later, at Faith Baptist Church. However, I don't think I truly started to grow spiritually until my second year of college, when I was presented with issues and had to grasp hold of the faith that I had lived vicariously along with my parents and made it my faith, and through this process of Christ working in me and solidifying his home within me I have had wonderful opportunities that have challenged and inspired me.  This is one of the reasons that the college age group is a group I love to interact with, as I was challenged during my college years I want to challenge and comfort those who are going through such a transitional phase of life.

Hobbies: I enjoy sports (Basketball, Football, Volleyball) as long as I'm the one who gets to do the playing and I love reading any type of book from philosophy of life to philosophy of war to computer programming and Dr. Suess.
